We build, restore and repair wooden boats. Our stock boat is the N.G. Herreshoff designed Biscayne Bay 14. We are also currently building a 19' Big Ben Garvey designed by Doug Hylan. Current restorations include a Star class sailboat and a wood canvas Penn Yan Swift.
The Biscayne Bay 14
The BB-14 is built of 3/8" occume plywood over steam bent oak frames. The keel, floor timbers, transom and trim are mahogany. The spars are sitka spruce and the floor boards teak. The BB-14 is a stable daysailer available in a keel/centerboard or fin keel version. The keel/centerboard version is very easy to trailer and launch.
